Their family has been walking and working organic vineyards for three generations throughout Napa Valley, the stunning place they get to call home. The family worked hard through each generation and is grateful to continue owning our vineyards and creating Neal Family estate wines. Our Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon grows next to our family home, and our Rutherford Dust Cabernet Sauvignon is grown next to the house where they were raised in Rutherford.

Our Howell Mountain and Rutherford Dust Cabernet Sauvignon are 100% single estate vineyard, 100% Cabernet Sauvignon small production wines that are simply exquisite. They believe in minimal intervention and that the incredible terroir should speak for itself.

The 2021 Howell Mountain Estate Cabernet Sauvignon visually exudes a viscous, crimson blood red colored hue in the glass. Classic haunting Howell Mountain aromatics consisting of bright red currant mingling with toffee, warm baking spices, Valencia orange, and French lavender. On the palate the wine reveals great volume and depth with a powerful and concentrated complex structure harmonized with luscious blackberry and black cherry liquor. Crushed, dried herbs evoke an almost earl grey tea like savory element, backed with graham cracker pie crust and baking chocolate. This wine is the epitome of an iron fist in the velvet glove; subtle power, showing its potential early but clearly with age worthiness and a promise to be a favorite from the cellar. The finish is long and evolving, with firm ripe tannins that appear from the deep and hold the palate in perpetuity.
