"Here, the wines have a very recognisable, personal "stamp", they are chic. And that is a miracle. Jean-Paul's Côte-Rôties can be recognised by their deep colour, notes of black olive and slight smokiness. They are big on the palate, dense in some vintages, and notes of camphor or menthol may appear in cooler years."

The assemblage, a key word for Jean-Paul, makes it possible to access the Côte Rôtie of the Domaine Jamet. The variety of terroirs, exposure and the age of the vines are complementary elements that combine their strengths. Produced from twenty parcels and essentially in whole bunches, the wine is subsequently kept in barrels for twenty-two months.

" Bottled in September, the 2021 Côte Rôtie reveals a healthy ruby hue to go with a beautiful and classic Jamet nose of ripe red and black fruits, peppery herbs, menthol, spring flowers, and subtle meaty nuances. Fermented with 90% whole clusters, it's medium-bodied, has a focused, elegant, seamless texture, and outstanding length. This delicate, seamless, perfumed Jamet will benefit from 2-3 years of bottle age and evolve gracefully over the following 10-15 years." Jeb Dunnuck 92
